Reducing environmental incivility is one of our main priorities as an organisation.
Environmental incivility is any aspect of the environment that you can see, hear, touch or smell, that you could feel negatively about. This might be at street level (for example, littering, dog fouling or graffiti), or it might be things that are absent, like somewhere safe and pleasant to walk, sit or play.
Community Safety Glasgow works to reduce environmental incivility by issuing environmental fixed penalty notices; organising school, business and community clean-ups; and removing graffiti. Our Recreate volunteers also take on environmental and community projects across the city.
